IIT (Indian Institute of Technology), Bombay students have been offered Rs 2.8 lakh stipend which is 40 percent higher than that of last year.
According to an HT report, the average stipend of a summer internship at Shailesh J Mehta School of Management at Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT-B) rose to Rs 1.19 lakh, seeing an expansion of 27 for each penny over the earlier year. The Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Nagpur has completed its summer internship placement for the current batch of the Post Graduate Programme (PGP). One student of the 2016-18 batch managed to grab an internship which is offering him a stipend of Rs 1.6 lakh.
This stipend for a two-month entry level position is the most astounding among the two clusters (2015-17 and 2016-18) of the PGP course, as indicated by TOI. There was additionally a remarkable increment of 24 for each penny in the normal stipend for the present group to Rs 56,900.
According to reports, the institute has, once more like last year, managed to place 100 percent of its students for summer internships. Many of the students have received good offers this year and more than 40 recruiters took part in the process.
“This year, the highest and the average stipend offered saw a significant jump,” placement office in-charge Vijay Phate said.
